Nigeria A Safe Place For Investors - President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday in New York assured existing and potential investors in Nigeria of adequate protection of their lives, investments and property.

According to a statement issued in Abuja, Buhari gave the assurance at a bilateral meeting with President Jacob Zuma of South Africa, on the sidelines of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The statement was signed by Mr Femi Adesina, the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Buhari said in the statement that the security situation in Nigeria was now much better and conducive for socio-economic activities. He noted that the advances being made against Boko Haram insurgents had gone beyond degradation through just force of arms.

Buhari said that the de-radicalisation process was also ongoing, adding that some measure of success was already being achieved.

“Even suicide bombing is becoming rare as the local people are themselves rejecting indoctrination by the insurgents.’’

He stated that Nigeria was working hard to diversify the economy and expressed willingness to collaborate with South African businessmen, especially in the areas of mining and agriculture, for the mutual benefit of the two countries.Read More : http://giftadenenews.com/
